It is a course of study addressed to the people who perceive internal security as an important aspect of their own life as well as the other’s.

 

The programme concept of this specialisation is adjusted to the local conditions. The graduate of internal security studies will know the educational goals involving theoretical basics in the field of social sciences concerning the essence, the regularity and the problems connected with functioning of public establishments and internal security structures of the country. Having the basic knowledge in social and legal issues, the graduate will understand the core of internal security. The knowledge in the field of selected social sciences, including human rights, the state workings, distribution of power and tasks and regulations of state authorities, governmental administration and local self-government – they all will help in understanding and locating the authorities and entities responsible for internal security.

The course offer is providing for the internal security issues in many specialised areas, in the result it enables students to obtain professional and versatile education.

 

Employment Possibilities

The graduate of all specialties will be prepared for the work on all specialistic and executive positions on different management levels in public and self-government administration responsible for internal security. The obtained education allows to work in teams of crisis management in units of public self-government administration. The course takes into account the internal security in many areas. The offered specialisations enable the students to obtain specialised education fundamental to handle tasks on different levels of administrative and self-governmental structures, as well as in business entities and organisational units dealing with security issues, especially in companies handling with traffic security.

 

Knowledge and skills in the field of operation techniques, self-defence and intervention, and weapon use and solving of decision-making problems, they all will allow students to work on positions in national formations and service connected with security, including: Police, Internal Security Agency, Border Guard, Prison Service or Municipal Guard.

 

ANTI-TERRORIST SECURITY Specialisation

Thematically profiled specialisation creating broad prospects for employment. It responds to the needs of national, regional and local institutions concerning counteraction against terrorist threats. The graduate will obtain knowledge and skills in the field of terrorism psychology, methods and forms of terrorist’s activities, identification of units responsible for anti-terrorist’s attacks, as well as proactive and reactive anti-terrorism activities.

ROAD SAFETY Specialisation

This specialisation is connected with creating proper conditions of road traffic. Road safety include: road traffic supervision, traffic organisation, driver’s training and examination, psychology of transport, medical life-saving, technical condition of vehicles, roads and signs, as well as promotion of desirable behaviours of road traffic participants. The graduates will be prepared for the work on specialised positions connected with road traffic, communicational education, road engineering, transport and freight business, supervision services and traffic control.

It is an interdisciplinary specialisation which allows students to get complex knowledge concerning social and legal matters, as well as the conception and methods of counteraction against threats in the area of internal security. The specialisation is thematically profiled to provide appropriate knowledge and skills in the field of military and non-military activities concerning state security. The studies will allow to understand the role and tasks of mentioned areas, but also the meaning of cooperation between the military and non-military units. Defensive actions will be presented not only in state security threats, but also in times of peace and high readiness.
