Bridge studies are for people with secondary school leaving certificate, graduates of vocational medical schools educating in a profession of a midwife.
The duration of the study depends on the type of medical school the student has graduated from. The programme of the study was prepared to enable students to complement their knowledge and skills needed to obtain the degree of Bachelor of Midwifery. The graduates of the bridge studies may continue their education on the second-cycle studies or postgraduate studies, and make their professional qualifications be recognized in the European Union countries.

The programme of vocational placement during the course of study is prepared individually for each student on the basis of his/her job seniority, work experience and qualifications according to the directives of the National Council for Accreditation of Nursing and Midwifery Schools.
